Grading

The quality of your work will determine your grade on a lesson. Of course, accuracy, detail, and completeness are the three most important factors in determining your lesson grade. Each of the 8 lesson assignments is worth 100 points.

The grades you receive on the eight written assignments and two exams will determine your course grade. The lessons make up 40 percent of your course grade and the exams a total of 60 percent.

Eight lesson assignments (100 points each) 40% of course grade
Two exams (110 points each) 60% of course grade

You instructor will use the following grading scale to assign grades:

97 A-plus, 93 A, 90 A-minus; 87 B-plus, 83 B, 80 B-minus; 77 C-plus, 73 C, 70 C-minus; 67 D-plus, 63 D, 60 D-minus; 59 and below, F

Note: The average of your exam grades must be at least a D– (60 percent) for you to pass the course. Even if your lesson grades are excellent, you will not pass the course unless you fulfill this requirement.
